Thanks, but that only works for the default numbered lists.  It
doesn't give me the proper format for sub-levels:

4.
 1.
 2.
  1.

versus (what I need):

4.
 4.1
 4.2
  4.2.1

Do you really think I went through all the effort of checking the open
feature requests and read through the default PIs to see if #pragma
would be a workable solution, but didn't have the brains to RTFM?
