[Matplotlib-devel] improvement to UI of edit curve parameters

In preparing a chart for publication, I'd like to delete one of the
curves.  It would be great to be able to do this interactively, using the
edit curve parameters UI.  I'm not sure which qt-variant backend I'm using,
whatever defaults on fedora 38 linux.

I can set the line to None, and set the marker to nothing, and this makes
the line invisible.  But it still is present in the legend!  I don't see
any way to remove it.

Would be nice to have that ability.
