[Mailman-Users] Limit messages per user?

Hi,

Just asking for completeness--

AFAIK there is no mechanism in either mailman 2 or 3 to limit the number of 
messages per day originating from a given member. True?

A list I'm on (but don't manage), had something like 700(!) in 30 minutes 
from a buggy auto-responder. That was shut down, but the damage was done. 
Now people are screaming about how poorly the list is managed, etc, etc.

Will even spam-assassin cover this?
