No. You can change the list's real_name attribute, but only so it
differs only in case from the list's internal name. E.g. If the list is
junklist, its real_name could be any of junklist, JunkList, JUNKlist,
etc., but not even Junk_List would be allowed. This is the only change
you can make.

See the FAQ at <http://wiki.list.org/x/mYA9>. All the methods there
require command shell access to the server. The best you can do as a
list admin is create a new list with the new name (if you can), manually
configure it like the old list, extract the membership from the old list
(see <http://wiki.list.org/x/aYA9> and/or the script at
<http://www.msapiro.net/mailman-subscribers.py>), mass subscribe the
mmembers to the new list and then manually set their options on the new
list. Such a process will not move the archives.
