Yes, that's a well-known issue and as Mark says it's purely an Apple
Mail app issue, and there's nothing we can do about it on Mailman
side.  As you noticed the setting of dmarc_moderation_action doesn't
matter.

There is something you can that may appease Apple's Mail app, and that
is to turn off *all* Mailman trimmings for *all* recipients.  That
means that you cannot have a footer or header (the text fields must be
*empty*, if they contain even whitespace MIME structure will be
added), and you cannot have a subject tag (like [Mailman-Users] in the
version of this message you get via the list) or post serial number.

Unfortunately there's no way to do this *only* for Apple Mail app
users (these are listwide settings, not per-user settings), and it's
pretty draconian.  I can't even promise it will work (that depends on
the posting MUA as well as on Apple Mail app), but it's an option that
you can decide whether you want to try.
