Not likely as you ran the command from the command line as user 'list'
and it runs via cron as user 'list'.

What does

groups list

give? what do

ls -l -d /var
ls -l -d /var/lib
ls -l -d /var/lib/mailman
ls -l -d /var/lib/mailman/locks

give? Do you have SELinux or some other security manager enabled?
