Did you run Mailman's bin/genaliases after changing mm_cfg.py?
What Mailman version is this?
What's in data/virtual-mailman? Do the 'to' addresses have @localhost
appended. If not, you can append it manually and there are ways to
automate this.

What were the postfix log messages in that case?
