Thank you very much for your analysis. I double-checked the way I hooked 
postfix-to-mailman.py and it looks OK. I will try to engage some of the 
people who wrote postfix-to-mailman.py.

There is no useful information that mailman could tell me if I hacked its 
source code to report more to ../mailman/vette, is there?
