Are users bounces recognized by Mailman?

What's in Mailman's 'bounce' log?

Are messages to the listname-bounces address being correctly delivered?
You can test this by sending a blank email to the listname-bounces
address. It should then be forwarded to you as an unrecognized bounce.

If you have Mailman's VERP enabled, does your MTA properly deliver the
VERP'd bounces?

What are you seeing that tells you users are bouncing and not being
disabled?
