I sympathize with the frustration, and in your environment, unconfirmed
unsubscribe might work, but in general, I think it makes it too easy
for usera, upon seeing a 'disagreeable' post from userb, to just
unsubscribe userb from the list.

You could always try your hand at a patch <wink>.
