Yes.

This will make things worse, because you don't want to allow qmail to
relay mail from something that connects to 'FDQN' or the IP. You want
qmail to relay from a connection to 'localhost' or 127.0.0.1.

I'm not sure about this, but the bottom line is it didn't help.

You need to remove SMTPHOST = 'FQDN' from mm_cfg.py and tell qmail to
relay mail from 'localhost'. I can't tell you what the qmail
incantation is.
