Remove all the Mailman aliases from /etc/aliases or wherever they are. 
You don't use aliases with this Exim config.

Exactly, which is why you don't want any Mailman aliases.

newaliases normally does nothing in Exim. See the -bi option in 'man exim'.

group = doesn't belong here.

transport = seems overly indented, but it isn't Python :-)

This is if you have virtual domains. If not, the 'workaround' router is 
correct.

I don't know why you have freeze_exec_fail = true here. At least until 
you get things working, you probably don't want it.
