[Mailman-Users] Domain name in lists sub directory

I've recently subscribed to a couple new lists that are hosted on recent
versions of Mailman running at different ISPs. I dont manage these lists.
I note that the domain name of both lists is encoded in the sub directory
for the list. Both also happen to have long domain names. Combined this
makes for some rather long URLs or archived messages for example.

Below are the URLs of the Info page, archives, and an archived message for
the two lists.

The lists I manage and most others I've noticed only have the list name as
the subdirectory name. Is this a change or an artifact of their
installation? Why the difference?
