BTW, this pipe is one of the techniques suggested in
<http://www.python.org/cgi-bin/faqw-mm.py?req=show&file=faq03.013.htp>.
Since you didn't seem to see it there, I have updated the FAQ to try
to emphasize that this is the method of choice. Please take a look at
the FAQ and see if it looks better to you.
