[Mailman-Users] Can't figure out problem, makes no sense.

I have read all the postings I could, but this is really weird.

apache runs as nobody, so I used --with-cgi-gid=nobody, as I'm supposed to.

now I always get this, no matter what I do:

Mailman CGI error!!!

The Mailman CGI wrapper encountered a fatal error. This entry is being
stored in your syslog:

Failure to find group name nobody. Try adding this group
to your system, or re-run configure, providing an
existing group name with the command line option --with-cgi-gid.

the group nobody DOES exist.

also the user nobody is part of it.

no matter what I set the --with-cgi-gid= to, it always says it cant find the
group

any help? this is day 3 of messing with this :-(

system is fedora core 2 with custom built apache2.0.50 w/jrun4.0 and SSL

Thanks!

Mike Smith
