I see: I add these lines to ~mailman/Mailman/mm_cfg.py

HTDIG_HTSEARCH_PATH = '/usr/bin/htsearch'
HTDIG_RUNDIG_PATH = '/usr/bin/rundig'
USE_HTDIG = 1    # 0 - don't use integrated htdig, 1 - use it

I still don't understand what this means.  I would be grateful for any
help.
