	Yeah, that part of the page needs to be updated.  That's why I 
created the FAQ entry I referenced.  The FAQ Wizard is designed to 
let anyone create an entry, regardless of whether or not they are 
part of the python or gnu.org projects, whereas changing the other 
types of pages is much more difficult unless you are the webmaster or 
approved project member of those systems.

	I asked the question that way because many people mistakenly 
believe that the "latest stable version" is whatever their OS vendor 
provides in whatever binary package formats they make available. 
Unfortunately, more than a few OS vendors provide package versions 
that are woefully out-of-date, and this makes it very difficult for 
us to tell what which version people are talking about unless they 
are explicit.

	Your problem may or may not be related to the python version 
problem.  However, upgrading your python version is the first thing 
I'd focus on doing.  If you're still having problems after that, we 
can help you deal with that issue when the time comes.
