[Mailman-Users] Notifications of subscriptions etc ...

This is a reposting of my question asked yesterday. Can anyone shed any light on this problem? Any similar experiences?

I have Mailman 2.1.3.

I noticed that the only way I can get notifications of subscriptions etc. at my 
moderator address is if I have the notify list administrator set to "Yes".

This results in me getting duplicates. I want notifications to go only to the 
moderator(s).

What am I missing?
