If messages are being shunted, are you certain that nothing is being
written to $prefix/logs/error; that is what I would expect to be
happening with shunts. If not is it possible that the permissions of
the logs directory have gotten screwed up? It might be worth running
check_perms to see if that makes any difference. Aside from that ...
btw: what was the reason for the reboot? Any possibility of the cause
being something that has affected MM's operation?
