Thanks for the great postfix/ext3 link.  
It does a good job of pointing out how to use ext3 with an active disk
I/O application like postfix.

I have always advocated folks use an ext2 file-system for their /var
volume; now I'll have to give this a try on a test system.

This might be a good addition to the Postfix tuning FAQ.
