[Mailman-Users] external MTA Solutions?

Hello,

I am a newbie in sendmail configuration. 
My problem is to use an excisting MTA-Server and 
a second one for mailman. how should this be made?
Are there solutions for the different mailinglist-names, 
that are more comfortable, then updating them on both mashines
by hand. And is there a posibility to do this (ext. MTA and Mailman)?
