So Mailmanctl is running, the message is being delivered to Mailman via
your MTA,... 
What do the ~mailman/logs/.. say about your message?
 - "post" should indicate if the message was delivered via Mailman
successfully
 - "vette" should indicate if the message was held for some reason
 - "smtp" should tell you if the smtp info for the message hand-off from
mailman to your MTA
 - "bounce" or "error" should indicate if there was a problem with the
message.
