So the message was delivered to Mailman.  Now check the mailman logs and
see what happened from there:
  ~mailman/logs/..

Also, what version of Mailman are you using?

This looks like version 2.1.x ... if so, is Mailmanctl running?
Are you subscribed to the list?
Is the list set to Moderate all mail? Check the admindb web-page for the
list you are playing with.
What happens if you bring up the Web-admin pages?
