Actually, I've built this from scratch. (Panther Server comes with Mailman,
regular old Panther doesn't. Vinnie, my Samoan Attorney told me to us PHP
(or python, or mailman) like a man, and save a grand on Panther Server. My
time is cheap, these days.)

I followed the recommended installation for Jaguar Server found in the
OSX.README file <http://www.afp548.com/Articles/mail/python-mailman.html>,
which said to create a user named mailman and put mailman there.

I figure that, as far as I can tell, /usr/local/ didn't even exist until I
fired up a couple of .pkg files which created stuff in there (that, go
figure, doesn't work... :-)), there's a reason that Apple didn't set it up
that way.

So, I figure creating a symbolic link called /usr/local/mailman, and
pointing it to /Users/mailman will do the trick.

We'll see what happens.

Cheers,
RAH
