[Mailman-Users] doublet check without autoresponse [Virusscan passed]

I made a script which subscribed users automatically out of my
Progress-DB. The Problem is that every doublet in this DB gets an
autoresponse "You are already subscribed". 
Is there any possibilty to disable this feature !

I´m using mailman 2.0.8
