Have you tried manually removing the list via the command line? > rm -rf /lists/Dave<TAB> > rm -rf /archives/public/Dave<TAB> (this one might be already gone from earlier) > rm -rf /archives/private/Dave<TAB> Edit your aliases file to remove the aliases for the mailing list as well.
