(1) please post in plain text.
(2) mailman is not the bottleneck in most cases. it will handle as many
mails as your outgoing MTA, which in turn strongly depends on the disk
subsystema and the amount of RAM on the host. a fat outward pipe would
also come handy. some figures are in the faq, and the list.org page has
a "mailman in use" section that lists a number of huge deployments.
