[Mailman-Users] ERROR: User unknown

got it! the problem was that postfix maintains its own copy of 
passwd in /var/spool/postfix/etc and since the two files are not 
yet synchronized at the time of the creation, the username is 
definitely not yet known <to postfix, at least>.
