[Mailman-Users] Optimizing configuration

Is there anything special we can do to optimize our Mailman/Python installation? We're running Solaris with 256M of RAM, but Python is regularly hogging 75%+ of system resources. To say this is slowing things down is an understatement. Are there any configuration changes we can make that will cause Python to use less memory and run more efficiently?
