In addition, I would add that this is a great time to do some websurfing (or,
better, buy a book you can highlight, dog-ear, and absorb by osmosis ... for
all the technology in my life, I still love the feel of a book...) and get
some information on setting permissions. Some terms to hunt for, and likely to
be included in relevant directories, are: UNIX permissions, linux permissions,
chmod, chown, chgrp. Check_perms may fix your immediate problem, but it will
*not* tell you what it means, why it's broken, or what you should do about it
if you should run across a similar problem in the future and don't have the
luxury of a check_perms utility.
