It has the side effect of disabling many of Sendmail's anti-spam
traps.

You may also want to re-examine the Mail-followup-To: header you are
inserting:

  Mail-followup-to: Graham Dunn <gdunn at kanga.nu>,
	Michelle Brownsworth <michelle at primelogic.com>,
	mailman-users at python.org

Note the first address.
