If check_perms doesn't run correctly, how are you sure it's not
a permissions problem?

What directory are you trying to run check_perms from?

What are the permissions on ~mailman/bin/check_perms?

What error messages do you get when you try to run check_perms?

What does /var/log/maillog say about things?

What do the various log files in ~mailman/logs say?

Toss us a bone here - we're not mindreaders.  :)  We need
