[Mailman-Users] config problem: subscribing

What's the cause of this problem?

mailq tells me:

                                         "|/var/lib/mailman/mail/wrapper
mailcm

                 (Operating system error)

This looks like a permissions issue, but since I installed from a Debian
package, I wouldn't have thought I would have a problem.  Just in case,
here's the permissions issue on that file:

-rwxr-sr-x    1 root     list         5912 May 24 20:26
/var/lib/mailman/mail/wrapper

Any ideas?
