Good point, thanks Chuq.  I've added this to the UPGRADING file.

Also please note that upgrading to 2.0b6 requires you to re-run the
configure script; running config.status is not sufficient due to some
recent changes to the autoconf scripts.  You can do a head of
config.status if you don't remember the options you originally ran
configure with.
