If it really is mailbox (mbox) format - ie each message separated by a 
"From<space>user date", then just give that file to the mailman arch 
program as per any other archive.

[NB keep a copy in case you ever have need to rebuild the archives - 
new messages are kept in the archive/private/listname.mbox directory 
but original files are not kept by arch (although it does not delete 
them) - this can be painful as I recently found]
