[Mailman-Users] Slow Performance on semi-large lists

What is the best way to do this?
I just edited /etc/rc.d/init.d/sendmail to look like this: daemon
/usr/sbin/sendmail $([ "$DAEMON" = yes ] && echo -bd -ODeliveryMode
=d) \
Is this good?
