[Mailman-Users] unlocking a list?

I'm trying to up to b2 from b1 (2.0)...my make install is barfing because
it can't open the config.db file for a list...I think it must be locked or
something, as the ownership on the config.db and config.db.last files in
this case is 'nobody' instead of 'mailman'.  How do I rememdy this? (w/o
just getting the admin to change the ownership to mailman, if possible)
