[Mailman-Users] Linux Upgrade and Mailman Problems

I upgraded the operating system from Redhat Linux 5.2 to Redhat
Linux 6.1. Now Mailman doesn't work. Signing up for the list
works but the following message is received when you send
a response back:

----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors -----
"|/home/httpd/html/mailman/mail/wrapper mailcmd xmlusers"
    (expanded from: <xmlusers-request at ecc05.eccnet.com>)

----- Transcript of session follows -----
sh: wrapper not available for sendmail programs
554 "|/home/httpd/html/mailman/mail/wrapper mailcmd xmlusers"... Service
unavailable

I tried reinstalling Mailman and I receive the following error:

checking permissions on /home/httpd/html/mailman... configure: error:
***** Installation directory /home/httpd/html/mailman is not configured
properly
!
***** Directory must be owned by group mailman:
/home/httpd/html/mailman
The directory and all directories below are owned by mailman
and the group is mailman.

Redhat 6.1 uses sendmail 8.9.3. We had to modify the sendmail
configuration in order to get sendmail working. I think that
my problem may be a sendmail problem and not a 'mailman' problem.

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Betty
