[Mailman-Users] Suggestion: issuing an "Invitation" to subscribe

As an alternative to the "batch subscribe" offered on the membership 
management page, this would send a message to each address entered, with 
the list description material, but instead of "You have been subscribed" 
and a generated password, something to the effect of "You are invited to 
subscribe" and the general membership URL.
