[Mailman-Users] Strange intermittent problem: [Returned mail: unknown mailer error 1 (fwd)\] (fwd)\]

Occasionally, I get the following error from one of our high traffic
lists.  It seems to
ignore that one of our lists exists, and bounces the mail.  Any ideas?
It only happens to about
one out of 3000 messages.
