[Mailman-Users] Dropped SMTP Connections

I've been getting the following errors on certain mailing lists I
manage:

May 25 15:23:21 1999 TrySMTPDelivery: Mailman.pythonlib.smtplib.SMTPServerDisconnected  / Connection unexpectedly closed  (dequeued)

Any ideas what could be causing this and what I can do to fix it?

Oh, and before I forget, I'm running the following:

OS:      FreeBSD 3.2
MTA:     Exim 2.12
Python:  Python 1.5.2
Mailman: Mailman 1.0rc1
