You should first read README-I18N.en in the distribution. You can start translation as there is not yet a champion for Hindi. I recently e-mailed Barry my latest translations on the Dutch part. However, i did not saw a new check-in at the current CVS (version 2.2a0) I realy dont know how to do such checkins myself. (if there is a manual/FAQ for that part then its welcome). So if barry did not checked in my newest update.. who wants to do that for me? (So i can send you a tar.gz file with the updates in it). (So i can send you a tar.gz file with the updates in it). You can send language update to me (tkikuchi) because Barry may be busy on other matter. He is working on mailman 3.0 development and I have volunteered to become 2_1-maint committer. I am not very sure but Mailman 2.2 may never be going out and all the checkins are done to Release_2_1-maint now. Is there anything I could check / change to debug this ? According to the mailman i18n page http://www.list.org/i18n.html, the Dutch language champion is Danny Terweij (danny@terweij.nl). Please send your patch to him and he will be able to correct the translation in the SourceForge CVS. You can also fix YOUR installation by editing the .po file and generating the .mo file by msgfmt. -- Tokio Kikuchi, tkikuchi@ is.kochi-u.ac.jp http://weather.is.kochi-u.ac.jp/ From chris at scorpion.nl Mon Nov 15 14:00:11 2004 From: chris at scorpion.nl (Christiaan den Besten) Date: Mon Nov 15 14:40:25 2004 Subject: [Mailman-i18n] Re: [Mailman-Developers] Translation not working? Propably dutch translation is not finished. You have a chance to change it - just find .../messages/nl/LC_MESSAGES/mailman.po file, and translate needed messages. Before you start I advice to contact with Danny Terweij who is champion of dutch translation. BArtek
