If you are ready to start Portuguese translation, I think the proper way
to do it is:
1) To signal in this list your translation intention to portuguese, so
anyone can know who is doing the work.
2) Download Mailman from CVS and start translating
	- templates
	- mailman.pot (catalog)
3) Sometimes to send a message to this mailing list indicating status of
the work :-)
