I would guess that it is a MUA thing.

I received, (from the list):

If I select "Reply All:, my MUA (OSX Mail 4.5) generates:
	From:	Richard Wackerbarth<richard at NFSNet.org>
	To:		Barry Warsaw <barry at list.org>
	Cc: 		Stephen J. Turnbull <stephen at xemacs.org>, Mailman Developer List <mailman-developers at python.org>

I them (manually) altered the headers to sent this only to the list.
