You should probably do an svn checkout and then use recursive diff  
(ignoring CVS and .svn directories) to find local modifications.   
Since your checkout is from a specific cvs tag, you should probably  
also check out the equivalent svn tag:

https://svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/mailman/tags/Release_2_1_8b1

although I would suggest running your production system from

https://svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/mailman/branches/Release_2_1-maint
