Hi Ben, thanks this seems much more acceptable, although I'll reserve
final judgement until I actually apply the patch and give it a drive
<wink>.  If it pans out, I'll include it in the next alpha --
hopefully this weekend -- and if not, I'll definitely give you
feedback about it.
