There's no record in the python.org mail server logs of any message from your address (pzel@dodo.com.au) to any python.org address other than mailman-21@python.org from Jan 4-8 (UTC-0500). Do you have the exact time (UTC) when you sent your message, and if possible the Message-Id header? I suspect it got lost before it ever got to mail.python.org.
