[IPython-dev] Undoing transforms in tracebacks

Hello,

For the Sage project, the IPython input transforms are important. The 
problem is that the use of these transforms can confuse users if an 
error occurs: the traceback shows the *transformed* line, not the line 
as inputted by the user.

How would you feel about storing both the untransformed and transformed 
lines and displaying the *untransformed* lines in a traceback? I don't 
have code to do this yet, I am just asking whether you consider this a 
good idea in principle.
