[IPython-dev] qtconsole give heartbeat warning when waking from sleep on OS X 10.8

I've been using the qtconsole for a while now, and I've noticed an
annoying behavior that seems to consistently occur now on the latest
Mac OS X (10.8): When I wake my computer from sleep (usually after a
*long* sleep like overnight), any qtconsole windows pop up the dialog
indicating that "The kernel heartbeat has been inactive for 3.00
seconds. Do you want to restart the kernel?" If I choose "no",
everything works just fine, so the kernel is actually running fine.
Any idea why this is happening? (Note that it did *not* happen on OS
X 10.7)
