Yes, I can definitely see it could be useful.

Here is a feature suggestion:

Have an "IPython" menu.

Provide a way to create menu items and hook them to callables. I'm
thinking of something like:

_ip.create_menu_item('Kill current process", kill_current_process).

This would be VERY useful.
